GoCat is a small online store for people who share their lives with cats. We keep our range deliberately compact: furniture, scratchers, toys, treats and grooming essentials — the everyday things cats use, wear out and love. Every item we sell has been chosen, inspected and honestly described by people who live with cats themselves.
Why we started
Anyone who has ever bought a cat tree that wobbled, a toy that fell apart on day two or a treat their cat refused to touch knows the problem we set out to solve. The internet is full of cat products, but very few of them are sold by people who have actually watched a cat use them.
GoCat began with a simple idea: a store where everything on the shelf has passed a real-world test — sturdy enough for a determined scratcher, engaging enough for a picky hunter, and safe enough for the smallest kitten. We do not chase trends or list thousands of products. We would rather stock sixteen items we trust completely than a thousand we cannot vouch for.
How we choose our products
Before anything reaches our store, it has to clear three hurdles. First, it must be well made from materials we are comfortable bringing into a home with animals — solid wood and sisal where it matters, non-toxic finishes and fabrics throughout. Second, it has to survive genuine use: wobble tests for furniture, pull tests for toys, and plenty of enthusiastic volunteers from our own households.
Third, and most important, cats have to actually like it. A scratching post that cats ignore is just furniture for the hallway. If our testers — the resident cats of the GoCat team and their friends — turn their noses up, the product goes back on the shelf and never appears here.
Finally, we write the product description ourselves, based on what the item is really like: its true dimensions, its materials, who it suits best and how to look after it. If a toy is not ideal for kittens, we say so. If a tree needs two people to assemble, we say that too.

You will not find countdown timers, inflated “recommended retail prices”, or products we have never laid eyes on. We are not the cheapest store on the internet, and we do not try to be — we aim to be the one you can trust when you are buying something your cat will live with for years.
